Expressing utter dissatisfaction over the investigation into the murder of her husband Haren Pandya, Jagruti Pandya today sought reinvestigation. At a hurriedly called press conference today noon, she said that she would approach Chief Minister Narendra Modi with her demand.
POTA Court had yesterday convicted 12 persons in the case. Nine persons including Asgar Ali were awarded life imprisonment, two seven year term and one for five year. She said that the judgment was on the basis of investigations into the case by the CBI. But, she said, it was not a balanced investigation.
She said that she would also meet top BJP leaders and request them that there should not be such encounters on the basis of political rivalries. Haren Pandya’s father Vitthal Pandya had yesterday demanded reinvestigation alleging that his statement was not recorded by the CBI and many other issues were also not probed.
Vitthal Pandya had alleged that the main brain behind the murder was Chief Minister Narendra Modi and he should be punished.
