Varun Gandhi will move the Supreme Court after his bail plea was rejected by the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. Three separate FIRs have been filed against the BJP leader under the IPC containing serious charges.
The High Court decided to dismiss the stay order on his possible arrest because Varun had already obtained an anticipatory bail from the Delhi High Court and the court did not find any reason to grant him bail.
Prima facie, observed the court, Varun’s charges seem to be true. If this be the case, then he may face an arrest after March 27, which is the last day of his anticipatory bail. The High court is now awaiting the forensic report verifying the authenticity of the CD which contains Varun’s hate spech which he delivered in an election campaign rally in Pilibhit.
Three separate FIRs have been filed against Varun Gandhi under the IPC section 153(a), 188 and 124.
