Engineering top choice, leaves few seats vacant

Chennai, Aug. 13: Engineering courses have been the hot draw this year, with several students opting for various streams in the professional course and leaving only 9,443 seats vacant on Friday, the final day of the government’s single window counselling for self-financing engineering colleges in the state. There were no takers for 30,591 seats last year.
