Rahul Gandhi will address a tribal rally near Niyamgiri Hills in Orissa’s Kalahandi District today where Vedanta Aluminum Limited (VAL) has set up a refinery.
Rahul will interact with the tribal people and address a public meeting, a bid on his part to keep tribal youths away from the Maoists.
His visit to the tribal region would also be the attempt to make people understand that the UPA Government won’t encourage any activities, which would harm tribal groups (PTG) like Dangaria and Kutia Kandhas.
He had visited Lanjigarh area in March 2008.
